2019 Forest River for sale in Kuhn Truck and RV, Sherwood, Ohio

About Kuhn Truck and RV

Kuhn Truck and RV is a family owned and operated dealership since 1976 located in small-town Sherwood, Ohio. We've been a trusted local seller of many things over the years, but today we specialize in the highest quality pre-owned RV's and motorhomes available.

Due to popular demand, most of our inventory consists of Class B and B+ RV options. We prefer to buy from private owner so we can see where and how the unit was used, and we prefer to buy vehicles from the south to avoid rust issues. Ron, my dad, lives in the south and is our primary source of inventory - he has been doing this since 1976, so he knows what to look for and what true quality is at any price point! If you are looking to sell your unit, please feel free to reach out to us.

Please check out our inventory here on truckandrv.com or stop out to our lot during our posted hours. If you can't make it during our regular hours, that's okay too; call us at your convenience to schedule an appointment anytime day or night. And you can always call or text me, Luke, at (419) 770-1010, my brother Levi at (419) 770-1515 or call the office at (419) 899-2020 anytime day or night and we will do our best to serve you. You can also reach us by email at kuhn@truckandrv.com

about our family
  • More about our family here at Kuhn Truck and RV:

Ron: Ron was born in 1953 the third of five children on a small family operated dairy farm outside of Sherwood, Ohio. He grew up learning the value of hard work from his father, Bernard, who he admired very much. Ron's father passed away tragically when he was 11, and as a result Ron learned how to motivate and teach himself, and it's a trait he has kept until this day. After school, his mother told him it was time to sell the cows or buy them himself - dad will tell you the choice was easy! Being in the heart of the muscle car era, Ron had a love for cars and knew what he wanted to do. Dad went to the local banker for a $10,000 loan, and afraid to tell them he was starting a dealership, he said he was going to buy and sell hogs. This is how our family business was born in 1976! The original dealership was in nearby Defiance, Ohio but was relocated to its current location in 1983. Today Ron acts as the principal buyer and overall guiding hand of the dealership - with his many years of experience in buying, selling, and working on things, there aren't many things that he hasn't come across. Here's Ron with his sisters, then with Levi & Luke's mom, Kathy and the first Kuhn girl, Karah.

    about our family
  • Levi: Levi was born in 1987, the fourth of Ron's five children and the firstborn son of our family. Growing up Levi enjoyed the outdoors and spent time working by dad's side (or picking on his little brother) when he wasn't playing baseball, basketball, or football. He graduated high school in 2006 and then attended nearby Northwest State Community College where he earned a degree in business management.

After college, Levi was a key factor in helping to modernize the business by online advertisement. Today he serves as partner to my dad and I. Having known eachother longer than just about anyone, we're eachother's right hand man. You'll find our offices side by side and if you ever get our names mixed up, don't worry -- we don't take it personally! While we both wear many hats around here, we're most proud to be "The Kuhn Brothers".

Levi and his wife Kelsey have two daughters, Kennedy born 2015 and Reagan born 2016.  In 2019 they had their first son, Calvin, whom is Ron's 22nd grandchild and the first grandson to carry on the Kuhn name.

  • Luke: I was born in 1993, the youngest of Ron's five children and the much loved baby of the family. I couldn't have asked for a better childhood than I had growing up with 3 big sisters and a big brother, a loving mom and dad, lots of land to roam and a fourwheeler to ride. Though we didn't have it nearly as hard as dad did growing up, he made sure to have lots for my brother and I to do - we learned a lot about the value of hard work and how to run just about any backhoe, tractor, skid loader, bull dozer, or motorized contraption you could think of. Mom always had dinner ready and kept a beautiful home that we all loved, the same dairy farm where my dad grew up.

I graduated high school in 2011 after a busy four years of baseball, basketball, football, and reading books, and enrolled at Northwest State where I earned degrees in business management, entrepreneurship, and human resource management. My wife Samantha and I were wed in November 2017 and are currently being nagged about when we will have kids.

You can consider me your touchpoint to Kuhn Truck and RV - while we are a family business and we are all equally empowered to help you, customer service and sales are my specialty and I consider myself a people person (on most days) and a conversationalist. I would love to be your guide in finding the right RV for you and your needs.

    about our family
  • Greg: Greg married the eldest of Ron's children (and my big sister Karah) and is our lead RV service technician. Greg has spent many years building luxury homes as well as overseeing various construction projects for large corporations. His expertise and attention to detail have been an invaluable addition to the business. He is also a very kind, honest, and hard-working man -- he certainly had all of our approval during their courtship years, and has proven us right ever since. He and my sister currently have ten kids that are all homeschooled, and I am proud to say they are some of the best and brightest kids around - they take after their dad (and mom, too!)

  • Jerry: Jerry has many years of experience in cleanup and detail work and has been working for dealerships since 1979. Jerry is kind and loyal and will do his best to help you with anything you ask - he's the type of person to treat folks how he wants to be treated. You'll find him here with us during the week and fishing in his boat on the Maumee River on the weekends. When it's cold, he's usually out driving his rusty 1997 Ford F-150, which we affectionately refer to as "Old Blue" . Kuhn Truck and RV wouldn't be the same without Jerry, and his energy and personality are a great addition to our team. Jerry is pictured below in 1974 atop the bell tower of St Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance, Ohio. *Update: Old Blue has found a new home hauling wood for its family in Sherwood, Ohio! We helped Jerry get his new truck, a very sharp Toyota Tundra -- to follow tradition and begin a new era, we've named this one "Old Gold"!

Rick: Rick has been with my dad since the beginning - he started working for my family in 1979 and has been a part of our family ever since. He is a faithful employee and a true friend of ours that has been an invaluable part of our business for years. Give Rick his buffer, some rags and cleaners, and watch the magic happen - Rick takes his time working but is as good as anyone else at what he does. Rick enjoys drinking coffee and baking cakes when he's not playing with his dog "Curb". Rick is a big Dale Earnhardt fan and has an extensive collection of #3 memorabilia - his favorite Intimidator quote is, "the winner ain't the one with the fastest car; it's the one who refuses to lose." Rick is pictured below in our company ad for 1987. We think he's just as handsome today, and even more cherished!

Mike: Mike may be new to our crew, but don’t think that makes him any less a part of our family! We asked a family friend if they knew of an honest, self-motivated, and experienced handyman – to which they said “Mike is the guy you are looking for!” Mike joined our family shortly after and now we’re left wondering how we ever got along without him. His many years of experience in welding, fabricating, and jack-of-all-trading are an invaluable asset to providing the best RVs for our customers as possible. Not only is he great at his job, we all knew right away from his infectious laugh and personality that he would become a beloved character around the shop. A special thank you to Mike’s lovely lady Kerri and to DJ for letting us have him during the day – we are thankful for your commitment to our shared success, and so glad to have you as part of our family.

There you have it, a little bit about the Kuhn Truck and RV Family! We look forward to hearing your story, and helping you find the perfect RV to write the next chapter.
